A family day, meeting at
10.30am to start around 11.00am,
and then gather together around 1pm for a picnic
(Will
obviously be cancelled in the event of heavy rain)
This
is a very informal gathering, and partially an experiment
to discover how many people are interested in the Greenman.
We
have chosen to meet at Whiteways forest area, as it has
public toilets and a small but well run cafe on the site.
At the end of the walk everyone will be invited to find
the 'ORIGINAL' image of the greenman, called 'The Greenman
behind the Poppies' which appeared in the latest edition
of Pagan Dawn.
Whoever
finds it gets to take it home.
We
would like to thank CK (aka Chas Alexander), for donating
his amazing paintings to The Goddess Foundation, and we
may even convince him to donate a few more images before
the day and possibly some signed prints.
If
the day proves to be a success, we will then start planning
this as
an annual, organised family event, to be
held in various locations throughout the South East of
England.
Each year there will be an original painting up
for grabs.
So
please come and enjoy a relaxed and informal family day
out with us.
Feel free to bring drums, guitars and dress as greenmen,
fairies, whatever you choose. Let's just meet up and see
what happens!
Please bring a packed lunch, or food to share if you prefer.
IT'S
AN INFORMAL GATHERING AT A PUBLIC SITE, SO IS FREE
and OPEN TO ANYONE who loves the countryside
