April 25th 2010 - Spiral
Workshop
Once
again we used the Bognor Community Centre as our venue
to gather together for our Red Tent Gathering. Having
made the Labyrinth the theme last time, we decided to
explore the different energies of the Spiral, and how
the Spiral plays a part in life.

After
the usual opening refreshments, we sat in our circle and
passed the talking stick around to introduce ourselves.
We then went on to discuss Spirals, how they can be found
in so many different creatures, parts of our body, and
spirals of energy in weather and even water. A fascinating
conversation that brought about facts and opinions that
we all learned something from. The display was available
to view with shells and images of the like of fractals,
an ear drum and spiralling weather conditions.

Before
taking our walk around the Spiral, we did a Spiral meditation
that brought about amazing emotions and energies. It was
then time for most of us to take to the art and craft
room, whilst we took it in turns to actually walk the
Spiral. We all found it to be totally different to the
Labyrinth, making most of us feel wound up as we reached
the centre, then a feeling of release as we made our way
out. Everyone got similar results whilst all came out
with different messages or answers. Again, so fascinating
that a shape mapped out by pieces of paper, can have such
powerful energies.

The
creative part of the gathering resulted in some very colourful
and meaningful pieces of artwork. We then ended with the
Global Sisterhood Meditation, but not before we had enjoyed
our social time chatting and sharing our afternoon refreshments.
It
was certainly a rewarding and powerful gathering, with
much sharing of friendship and wisdom.

Another great Red Tent Gathering with a great bunch of
women. As usual though, how ever long we set aside it's
never long enough.
