We started the allotment project in April 2009 and whilst we had a reasonable success with some vegetables, starting so late in the season put us at a great disadvantage. The plot is part of the allotment association in Bognor Regis and whilst small will form the basis of a larger plan to include members of the Goddess Foundation who have their own gardens and growing areas.

Our aim this year is to add a greenhouse to the plot and to make the growing area as bio-sensitive and environmentally sound as possible. The greenhouse will be built using pressure treated timber and triple wall rigid sheeting, to keep the costs down to a minimum. We aim to experiment with solar panels on the roof area using our own system incorportaing a large black rigid plastic sheeting and old double grazing panels. The project will need a few extra hands to construct the greenhouse and some of the growing area is still covered in couch grass. The task is to clear everything this year and use recycled kitchen waste to fertilise the ground.
