Our deepest fear - SHINE

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you notto be? You are a child of God (Goddess/Divine). Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God (Goddess/Divine) that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

This quote is often incorrectly credited to Nelson Mandelafrom his Inauguration Speech, 1994. It was actually written by a female by the name of Marianne Williamson. Whatever you choose to call the divine, to sentiment is the same. Allow YOUR light to shine and allow the glow to spread around you!

A man whispered “Goddess, speak to me”

And a meadowlark sang but the man did not hear.

So the man yelled “Goddess speak to me!”

And the thunder rolled across the sky

But the man did not listen.

The man looked around and said “Goddess let me see you”

And a star shone brightly

But the man did not notice

And the man shouted “Goddess show me a miracle”

And a life was born

But the man did not know.

So, the man cried out in despair.

“Touch me Goddess and let me know that you are here!”

Where upon Goddess reached down and touched the man.
